What Happens on Each Visit
We mow every patch of lawn on the property and run the edges along the driveway, paths and garden beds so the whole yard looks sharp. Clippings get blown off hard surfaces before we go, and if there is no green bin for them, we load them up and take them with us. The job is identical on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly booking.
Established Backyards Near the Bay
Most Deception Bay yards are not new estate lawns. Many homes here were built decades ago, so the backyards tend to be bigger than what you find in a modern estate, with the kind of mature trees and long-standing garden beds that newer blocks have not had time to grow.
That changes how a mow goes. Big trees drop leaves and twigs that need clearing before the mower goes through, and their shade leaves thinner patches where the grass grows at a different rate to the open lawn. Old garden beds and paths mean more edging per visit, and older side gates can be narrow.
None of that is a problem. It just means the quote for an established Deception Bay block reflects the extra edging and obstacles, not only the square metres.
Newer homes and townhouses have also gone in around the suburb in recent years. Those smaller lawns are quicker work and usually sit at the bottom of the price range.

On top of size, we look at how easy the yard is to work. Steep ground, a squeezy gate, or lots of beds and trees cutting the lawn into sections will move a quote up, even on a block of average size.
Taking On a Lawn That Has Run Wild
Rentals between tenants and yards that have been left for a season are common in an established suburb. If your grass is over about 30cm when we first arrive, the first visit is a heavier job, and we will tell you before we start that a one-off overgrowth fee applies. Expect somewhere in the $50 to $200 range, depending on the size and state of the lawn. After that first cut, the regular price takes over.

Visits start at $77. Older Deception Bay blocks with bigger backyards and plenty of edging usually land a little higher, while the newer compact homes tend to sit at the starting rate. Either way, your price is fixed before we begin.
Yes. Mature trees are normal in Deception Bay and our crews work around them every week. We clear fallen sticks from the lawn before mowing and trim around the trunks, and the extra time is built into your quote from the start.
We do. Our Deception Bay customers sit on the same run as Rothwell, Narangba and the North Lakes fringe. If your street turns out to be outside it, we will let you know at the quote stage.
That is fine. We blow the clippings off your paths and driveway as usual, then bag them and take them away, so nothing is left sitting on the property.
