Coastal lawns and mature gardens
Two things make the peninsula its own job.
The first is the salt air and humidity. Growth here comes in bursts rather than at a steady rate, particularly after a warm, wet stretch, and a lawn that looked fine on Friday can need a cut by the middle of the next week.
The second is the trees. A lot of Redcliffe and Margate blocks have been settled long enough to have serious canopy, which brings leaf litter and patchy shade. Grass under a mature tree grows thinner and slower than the same lawn out in the open, so the same block can need two different approaches within one visit. Newer places out around Kippa-Ring are more open and behave more predictably.
We set the schedule against what your lawn is actually doing rather than a generic calendar.
What Every Visit Covers
We mow all the lawn areas, edge every edge, and blow the clippings off your driveway, paths and paved areas before we leave. If you have no green waste bin, we load the clippings up and take them.
On established blocks that blow-off does more work than people expect, because leaf litter and clippings together make a mess of a driveway quickly.

Mowing on the peninsula starts at $77 a visit, with most homes between $77 and $132.

Older blocks vary more than newer estates, both in size and in how easy they are to get around. Established garden beds, mature trees and narrower side access all add time. We give you a fixed price up front and we do not need to visit to work it out, just a few details about the yard.
If the lawn has got away from you
Peninsula blocks can go from tidy to overgrown quickly after a wet stretch, particularly if a place has been empty or the owner has been away.
If the grass is over about 30cm when we first arrive, that first cut takes longer and needs heavier gear. When that is the case we tell you before we start that there is a one-off overgrowth charge on the first visit, usually between $50 and $200 depending on the size of the block and how far gone it is. From the second visit on you are back to your normal fixed price.

Yes, for plan-managed NDIS participants. We do not provide gardening under NDIS because the funded rate does not cover it, though we can quote gardening separately as a private service.
